My cat defends my son during a vicious dog attack and runs the dog off before he can do additional damage. Thankfully, my son is fine!
Question: Why did the mom run away?
Answer: After checking his wounds she made sure the dog did not return for a second attempt. The owners were there also and she was bit by the dog as she tried to pin him in his yard. The owners did get control of the dog and secured him in which she immediately returned to attending to our son. I did not include that video because it was not so much about the dog but about the cats actions.
I was skeptical going into this, but the cat really did defend your child.

If your dog is that aggressive it should be euthanized. I love how the cat

Who says Animals are unintelligent? They know things like we do. This is
one Cat that should be hailed a Hero. He/She clearly wasn’t going to let
that damn Dog get away with hurting a member of His/Her Family. The Family
should be very proud. As for the Dog, He/She is very clearly a danger, and
should be put to sleep. A Animal going around attacking people for no
reason isn’t acceptable! Well Done Puddy Tat :^)
That’s sad. The dog has problems BUT, dogs are not like humans. They can
and SHOULD be recovered with dog therapy. Discipline, activities and then
love.
Before you guys says “KILL THAT DOG” (that’s the human answer to every
problem) you should be wiser.
I recommend watching Cesar Millan’s The Dog Whisperer. Then you will
understand dogs and why sometimes, that behavior happens.
